Mr. Juan Carlos Namis, CEO and Chief Technological Officer of eData Limited, is an accomplished IT specialist with over 30 years of expertise in system and database design, development, and implementation. A leader in Belize’s technology sector, Mr. Namis has delivered transformative digital solutions that have shaped the country’s IT landscape. 

Mr. Namis holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology from Kutztown University, Pennsylvania, USA, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Adrian College, Michigan, USA, and a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics Education from the University College of Belize. This strong academic foundation, paired with practical experience, has enabled him to lead innovative projects with lasting impact. 

One of Mr. Namis’ most notable achievements was developing and launching Belize’s first Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) program, along with creating the first Information Technology program at the University of Belize. These pioneering initiatives revolutionized how educational institutions managed and processed academic assessments, establishing Mr. Namis as a key figure in advancing Belize’s digital infrastructure

Mr. Namis is also the visionary behind Neo People, a 100% Belizean HR and Payroll system now utilized by businesses in Barbados and soon to be implemented in Antigua. Additionally, he developed a webbased Municipal Management Information System for all city and town councils in Belize and played a key role in the UNDP CariSECURE project in Barbados by developing a pilot Police Incident

Report Information System which has been implemented in Grenada, Antigua, Suriname, St. Vincent, St. Lucia, and Barbados, enhancing security and data management across these countries

In addition to his work at eData Limited, Mr. Namis also manages the Internet Domain Registry for Belize, ensuring that the country’s digital presence is robust, secure, and aligned with international standards. He represents Belize in the Global Internet Community at the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). He has participated in ICANN’s international meetings in countries such as the USA, Uruguay, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Switzerland, Australia, Italy, Romania, and Canada, contributing to the global dialogue on internet governance
